By clicking on the “I Accept” button below, you (the Purchaser”) agree that the following Terms and Conditions will apply to your purchase of your new Will from Legal Documents Online (the “Vendor”) and you therefore agree:

  • That the whole service provided to the Purchaser by the Vendor comprises the use by you of the Wills Program the Vendors on-line software to facilitate you to create your own Will which completed Will shall be transferred to the Purchaser on completion of the program and payment by the Purchaser of the price;
  • That the Vendor has not provided the Purchaser with any legal advice regarding either the nature or the effect of the new Will nor provided the Purchaser with any advice as to the nature and effect of any statutory provisions in relation to succession or related matters and the Purchaser agrees that the Vendor does not have any liability to the Purchaser in that regard;
  • That the vendor does not see the new Will you have created and the Vendor cannot take any responsibility as to whether or otherwise your new Will is valid or effective. This responsibility is yours. The Purchaser acknowledges that the Vendor never has sight of your new Will and does not owe you a duty of care regarding the data you entered into the program or in respect of the validity of your new Will.
  • The Vendor cannot take responsibility for refunds where the Purchaser has entered incorrect data into the program;
  • That while the Vendor has made every effort to ensure that the new Will to be transferred to the Purchaser is accurate and compliant with current Scots Law at the time of transfer, no warranty, express or implied, can be given;
  • That the Vendor does not have any knowledge of the Purchasers particular circumstances and has not given the Purchaser any advice regarding the creation of their new Will;
  • That the Will to be transferred to the Purchaser and the software that created it, are both Copyright and that the Intellectual Property vested in your New Will and the software that created it belong to the Vendor;
  • That the contract of sale the Purchaser is about to enter into is governed by Scots Law and prorogation to any other jurisdiction is not permitted;
  • That the any further assistance the Purchaser may receive by email from the Vendor to complete the new Will, shall not constitute legal advice;
  • That the above Terms and Conditions are the whole Terms and Conditions under which the Vendor will sell the new Will to the Purchaser;
  • That these Terms and Conditions may be altered or varied by the Vendor from time to time without notice. If the Purchaser agrees with the whole of these Terms and Conditions please click the “I Agree” button. If the Purchaser clicks the “I Disagree” button the Purchaser will be returned to the wills-scotland.co.uk homepage.
